Work with Renters’ Rights London

Currently, we pay one full-time co-ordinator, supported by volunteers and Renters’ Rights London Advisory Panel. The Advisory Panel meets for a couple of hours every three months and most members are paid for their time.

We know that the expectation of providing unpaid time excludes many people. We know, too, that unpaid or under-paid work  can increase poverty worsen inequality. But we also believe that there are non-monetary ways to value time; money is not be the only incentive to do the work we do and some members of our team actively do not seek to be paid for the time they give.

We to try to address issues around remuneration by:

  • Covering expenses like travel and childcare to make volunteering as accessible as possible
  • Offering paid opportunities to volunteers whenever they offer time above their agreed commitment

If you might like to join the Advisory Panel or to volunteer with us, there’s a range of skills we need, from web writing to events management to fundraising. And we’re always open to ideas you might wish to develop. Please ">do get in touch?
